Extrusion blow molding a plastic material feedstock is fed through a hopper onto a feeding transfer screw.This feeds material into an especially designed blow molding die that directs the material flow to create an extruded hollow tube called a parison.
Blow molding is the forming of a hollow object by inflating or blowing a thermoplastic molten tube called a âparisonâ in the shape of a mold cavity.The process consists of extruding or âdroppingâ a parison on which female mold halves are closed.
The female mold halves contain the shape of the product to be produced. The neck ending catches and holds while the bottom end pinches closed as the tube closes.
A blow-pin is interested into the neck end of the hot parison while compressed air inflates it to the shape of the mold cavity.Simultaneously, the process creates the threaded opening.
