PROPULSION CONTROL SYSTEM MARKET

INTRODUCTION

When it comes to effectively and economically controlling the primary propulsion of a diesel-electric vessel, the Propulsion Control System (PCS) is the ideal choice. Redundancy in communications is made possible by the system's ring-based field bus communication design. The propulsion system's job is to generate thrust. A rocket's thrust is the force that propels it through space and the air.

The rocket's propulsion system generates thrust.A technological system generates force using propellers, wheels and axles, an engine or motor (commonly referred to as a powerplant), or a propulsive nozzle. It's possible that the motor will need to be connected to wheels, propellers, or clutches or gearboxes.

PROPULSION CONTROL SYSTEM MARKETNEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

The AutoChief propulsion control systems of Kongsberg Maritime's next generation are now officially available. The brand-new AutoChief 600 (AC 600) can be used with both fixed and variable pitch propellers on any two- or four-stroke engine. It uses a new touch screen that is based on the standard Human Machine Interface (HMI) developed by Kongsberg Maritime.

By introducing menu navigation that is more logical and easy to understand, the AC 600's touch screen interface makes it easier to use. The touch screen provides access to all system functions, allowing users to quickly and easily display any information at any time. RPM, pitch, start air and scavenging air pressure, engine state, and other variables are the primary options.

There are a number of control options to differentiate between user groups. When used as a multi-plant engine and thruster control system, the AC 600 touch screen interface not only makes it easier for operators to see information, but it also meets the NAUT OS/OSV requirements for handling Command Control.

As a result, other network systems can be given control by simply pressing a button. The AC 600 is compatible with OSVs, PSVs, oil tankers, and container ships due to its support for integration with Kongsberg Maritime's K-Thrust 600, Azimuth control, and Rudder Control systems.

The touch screen control panel, engine telegraph unit, engine safety system, digital governor system, manoeuvring recorder, and distributed processing units make up the majority of the AC600.The CAN-bus houses each interface;instruments, levers, displays, and other thingsThe AC 600 system's hardware features a built-in self-test feature , and there is no internal wiring connecting the units.
