The Concept for the Production and Use of Electric Vehicles was approved by the Russian Government. Electric vehicles (EVs) include passenger cars, lorries, and other vehicles that are powered by electric batteries and hydrogen fuel cells.

Electromobiles Manufacturing Rus, based in St Petersburg, has unveiled the EVM PRO electric truck, which is entirely built in Russia. EVM PRO was developed in collaboration with UAZ. Once completely charged, the 3.5-tonne electric vehicle has a range of 300 kilometres and a payload capacity of one tonne.
According to the maker, the car is fitted with the world’s lightest engine, weighing only 50kg. A Russian power plant, local design on-board electronics and software, autonomous heating for the driver’s cab, and an electric air conditioner for the summer season are among the electric truck’s important characteristics.
Battery heating is used to keep the power running at sub-zero temperatures. The vehicle was also created with urban use in mind.
Magnit, a large grocery retailer in Russia, has unveiled the country’s first electric heavy-duty vehicle. The new truck will be integrated into Magnit’s logistical network together with a specifically constructed charging station, which was developed in partnership with Drive Electro, the company behind Moscow’s electric bus system.
The MOSKVA electric truck has a maximum range of 200 kilometres and can transport up to nine tonnes of cargo. It can be charged using a standard industrial grid, with overnight charging taking 8 hours or quick charging taking 20 minutes.
