They have an extremely fast scanning rate that enables inspection of small workpieces, even when they are delicate, hot, moving, or vibrating.

 

The maker of high-end Japanese measuring instruments has just introduced a brand-new, ultra-high-accuracy type for pin and plug gauge readings. 

 

The newly established LSM-6902H, which has a measurement range of 0.1–25 mm, replaces the existing LSM-902/6900 model.

 

The outside diameter of pin gauges or plug gauges can be measured with great accuracy when using this top-tier laser scan micrometer and the optional adjustable workstage.

 

The LSM-6902H offers industry-leading precision in its measuring range, with a linearity of 0.5 m across the whole measurement range and in the narrow range.

 

Over the whole range, repeatability is as high as 0.045 m, with an impressive 0.03 m in the middle range. The new device's scanning rate was increased to 1,600/sec, or twice as fast.

 

The new LSM-6902H Mitutoyo laser scan micrometer comes included with an easy-to-use and read display unit.

 

Additionally, it has the ability to send data from the display unit to an external device like a personal computer.
