A Single-turret Machine, also called a turret press, is a machine that uses punching to form metal shapes. Single-turret Machining involves pushing a punch through a piece of metal to create a hole. There may be a die on the other side of the hole to contain the metal.
The Single-turret Machine can make holes in a variety of different diameters and can make about as many holes in a sheet of metal as per the fabrication requirement.
A Single Turret punching is an extremely fast and affordable way to make holes in sheet metal, so people who need a quick, economical way of making holes in sheet metal will often look to turret punching.
The single turret punch is so cost-effective because it contains multiple tooling in one device, meaning manufacturers avoid the expense of creating multiple, job-specific punch tools.
Using the controller, It can be quickly and easily rotate the turret to move the necessary punching tool, be it a square, a circle or some other shape, into the punching position. If the operators are using a punching press, there will be a turret above and below the bed, one for the punch and one for the die.
The two turrets must be perfectly aligned and rotate synchronously for the press to work effectively.
The Global Single-turret Machine market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
DOOSAN Single Turret Vertical Lathe – Similar in principle to a horizontal turret lathe but capable of handling heavier and awkward-shaped work-pieces – vertical turret CNC lathes feature rotary, horizontal worktables whose diameter normally designates the capacity of the machine; a cross rail mounted above the worktable which carries a turret, which indexes in a vertical plane.
Doosan vertical turret lathes are the number one choice for precision component manufacturers, and machines are available in a range of different chuck sizes (up to 40”) and are capable of handling work-pieces up to 1000mm in height. CNC Machines with driven tools and second spindles are also available.
All Doosan vertical turret lathes and turning centres are ready to hit the ground running and are given a thorough pre-delivery inspection prior to being delivered, commissioned and installed by Mills CNC service engineers.
