Global Telecom DC DC Converter Market 2023-2030

Last Updated:  Apr 25, 2025 | Study Period: 2023-2030

GLOBAL TELECOM DC DC CONVERTER MARKET

INTRODUCTION

A converter's purpose is to convert direct current voltage from DC to DC while filtering and stabilising the voltage. Wherever a stabilised direct current voltage is required, including in the telecommunications network, converters can be employed to supply the equipment.

DC/DC converter with extremely small design for any load needs. a converter has been used to power the machinery that RBS is currently using. High power density - readily incorporated into standalone or embedded applications High effectiveness lowers power consumption for less expensive operation.

Wide temperature working range satisfies the demands of the hardest environmental conditions. Utility sectors require DC power supplies due to some communication load. DC-DC Telecom converters address this issue by providing power for both electrical and communications equipment, which reduces the cost of acquisition.

Through the PMBus command interface, both converters offer flexible and thorough digital communication that includes monitoring and control features for voltage, current, and temperature as well as the reporting of fault conditions. They are useful as isolated converters that provide power to analogue point-of-load converters or downstream digital DC/DC converters.

RECENT DEVELOPMENT

Announcing the release of the FS1412 micro POL power module is TDK Corporation.

The FS1412 is a new series of DC-DC converters with improved performance, the smallest size currently on the market, simplicity of use, and easier integration for uses in big data, machine learning, artificial intelligence, 5G cells, IoT networking, telecommunication, and enterprise computing.

A DC-DC converter is a component of POL technology that is positioned next to sophisticated chipsets like ASICs, FPGAs, and others. Reduced resistance and inductance components provide rapid reaction and precise control with dynamic load currents by reducing the distance between the converter and the chipset. In Q4 2021, mass production of FS1412 began.

The debut of two digitally controlled DC/DC converters by Artesyn Embedded Technologies. Application areas for the ADO300 and ADQ700 include server, computer, and telecom. Both converters come in baseplate or open frame variations and are in a standard DOSA compatible digital interface brick style and pin arrangement.

They can operate with air cooling thanks to their high efficiency and exceptional thermal performance, which is currently required by telecom network and data centre equipment makers. The ADO300 is an eighth-brick-style, single output digitally controlled DC/DC converter with conventional pin placement.

This converter has a 36 to 75 volt input range, a maximum output current of 26 amps at a voltage of 11.7 volts, and a high full load efficiency of 95.2%. The ADO300 converter features improved pre-bias start-up capabilities, and two converters can be connected in parallel automatically using droop current sharing for high current applications.

A single output DC/DC converter, the ADQ700 has a conventional quarter-brick shape and pin layout. The DC/DC converter can handle input voltages between 40 and 60 volts and can provide up to 58 amps of current at a 12 volt output.

It is a desirable option for usage in datacom due to its typical 96% efficiency at 50% load and improved pre-bias start-up capability.
