The new Allen Bradley MobileView tethered operator interface has been unveiled by Rockwell Automation. The human-machine interface (HMI) of a machine can be carried about by plant and industrial people so they can make real-time alterations to applications that are not visible to them.
The interface is perfect for machine setup or calibration chores, maintenance duties, and other HMI applications where the user needs to see the machine. Applications that need local safety functions are supported by the addition of a hardwired e-stop button and three-position enabling switch.
With a variety of permanent and mobile terminals for various purposes, the unit provides manufacturers and industrial operators with a supplement to the Allen-Bradley PanelView graphic terminals. Additionally, it makes use of Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk View Machine Edition (ME) HMI software, which enables customers to create and reuse software applications across the MobileView and PanelView platforms.
Three possibilities for cable length, from 16.4 to 49.2 feet, provide flexibility for various machines and production lines. A 10-inch resistive touch screen display, a 2 GB internal SD card for application storage, and a USB 2.0 port for high-speed data transfer are also features of the MobileView tethered operator interface.
