    The 8-Channel Thermocouple Simulator Module from Bloomy simulates thermocouples of types E, J, K, M, N, and T using eight channels of galvanically isolated simulation.

     

    Sub-microvolt resolution and accuracy are provided by high-precision digital-to-analog converters that are insulated from one another and from system power.

     

    Open-circuit faults and switching to system calibration resources are both provided via built-in switching. The standard D-sub connector used by the module’s simulation output enables the usage of common copper wire throughout the system, even up to the test unit.

     

    For measuring the temperature where the copper contacts the different metals, the module offers two 10K thermistor inputs. The backshells of the unit connectors, the cable harnesses, or any other area close to the dissimilar metal junction are possible places for user-supplied thermistors to be placed.If necessary, an on-board thermistor can be employed.

     

    The module is controlled by the included VeriStand and LabVIEW drivers using the user-specified kind of thermocouple, the desired simulated temperature, and the feedback from the thermistors.

     

    The junction temperature reference and thermocouple type for each channel may be independently set.
