TOUCH CONTROLLER ASICS MARKET NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

The ZXY110 touch controller was added by Zytronic and is based on the ARM Cortex A4 processor. It operates at 168 MHz, enhancing the responsiveness and precision of Zytronic's self-capacitive p-cap (PCT) sensors.

 

Two ASICs accompany the processor, maximizing touch detection performance while minimizing controller footprint even through cover glass exceeding 10 mm thick.

 

There are two different versions of the ZXY110 available: PCT p-cap touch sensors with diagonals of up to approximately 19 inches are compatible with the 32-input version, while PCT sensors with diagonals of between 19 inches and 46 inches are compatible with the 64-input version 

 

.A USB 2.0 interface is used for connection to the PC. The ZXY110 updates touch event coordinates in less than 5 milliseconds.

 

The device is resistant to electro-magnetic interference (EMI) thanks to its exclusive new architecture and firmware.

 

This is because of its "smart" frequency-scanning function, which moves the operating frequency dynamically between 1.3 MHz and 2.5 MHz to avoid the "noise" in the environment that would otherwise prevent touch events from being detected.

 

The controller is a plug-and-play human interface device (HID) that works with Windows 7, Windows 8, and Linux. It works with Zytronic's ZyConfigTM software, which can be downloaded and used by touch screen integrators to access and adjust the controller's firmware settings.

 

The ZXY110 is compatible with PCT-based touch system designs that are already in use, and its mounting configuration is identical to that of the company's ZXY100 touch controller, making it easier to install.
