    Fia Launches Road Safety Index To Improve Organisations’ Safety Footprint.The FIA is introducing the FIA Road Safety Index in an effort to engage organisations in the drive for safer roads by giving them the tools to assess and enhance their safety footprint.


    Similar to carbon footprint calculators, the FIA Road Safety Index offers businesses a mechanism for evaluating their performance in terms of road safety and calculating their safety footprint.


    The amount of deaths and badly wounded people brought on by traffic accidents that take place throughout an organisation’s full value chain is referred to as its safety footprint.


    The Index provides a methodical way to pinpoint an organisation’s value chain and evaluate the impact of its assortment of services and goods on traffic safety.


    It is based on a ranking system that assesses how well an organisation is managing its influence on safety.In six pilot programmes, the Automobile Club of Uruguay (ACU) has participated. The six-stage evaluation’s first three steps, which are generally open to all companies worldwide, were finalised during the pilot period.
