    UPS has acquired Delivery Solutions, a Texas-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company that offers retailers “out-of-the-box” same-day delivery options. Additionally, Delivery Solutions’ technology platform offers curbside and in-store pick-up options, helps retailers ship from warehouses and stores, and assists with distribution.


    Retailers can use it to manage the post-purchase experience of their customers. As businesses increasingly seek an omnichannel approach that is experience-driven, the technology will increase flexibility and create a compelling online shopping experience.


    By engaging with an ecosystem of same-day delivery providers after UPS starts using the Delivery Solutions platform, they will be able to better meet delivery needs. Delivery Solutions will function independently under the same management as an agnostic, multi-carrier platform and will share the same brand.


    By working together, Delivery Solutions customers will be able to offer omnichannel shopping experiences that include express, same-day, and next-day delivery, giving retailers of all sizes dependable, quick, and effective shipping.



    Amazon is on track to overtake UPS and FedEx as the leading package delivery service in the United States by early 2022. They anticipate becoming one of the world’s largest carriers. Amazon has been progressively expanding its logistics and fulfilment capabilities.


    Its purpose was to have more control over how products were delivered to customers’ homes.     GoBolt’s decision to extend last-mile delivery services to tiny packages was a logical progression as they attempted to expand their first-party logistics network.


    FedEx’s decision to reduce Sunday delivery service in remote areas of the U.S. is the most recent indication that the COVID-19-inspired e-commerce boom is coming to an end. The ground unit of the courier will provide less service in less populated and rural areas, hence restricting its reach. For its Sunday deliveries, United Parcel Service mostly uses the U.S. Postal Service.



    The Amazon Air express network’s unrelenting expansion continued with the addition of daily service to Omaha, Nebraska. Amazon announced that an ATR72-500 turboprop operated by partner Silver Airways arrived at Eppley Airfield from its regional air hub in Fort Worth, Texas.

It started flying for Amazon out of Alliance Fort Worth Airport, serving Des Moines, Iowa, and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
