Global Ultra High Frequency Transmission Antenna Market 2022-2030

Last Updated:  Apr 25, 2025 | Study Period: 2022-2030

GLOBAL ULTRA HIGH FREQUENCY TRANSMISSION ANTENNA MARKET

INTRODUCTION

The ITU refers to radio frequencies between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz) as ultra high frequency (UHF). This band is also referred to as the decimetre band since its wavelengths vary from one metre to one tenth of a metre (one decimeter).

Super-high frequency (SHF), also referred to as microwave frequency range, radio waves are those with frequencies above the UHF band. The VHF (very high frequency) or lower bands are used for lower frequency transmissions.

Although hills and big buildings hinder UHF radio waves' path of travel, the transmission through those walls is powerful enough to allow for indoor reception. UHF radio waves travel mostly via line of sight.

In addition to various other uses, they are employed in walkie-talkies, cordless phones, satellite phones, cell phones, satellite communication (including GPS), personal radio services (including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), and television transmission.

The size of an antenna depends on how long the radio waves are being used. UHF antennas are conveniently short and stubby because of the short wavelengths; the most popular omnidirectional antenna at UHF frequencies is a quarter-wave monopole, and its length ranges from 2.5 to 25 cm.

UHF frequencies are utilised for two-way land mobile radio systems, such as walkie-talkies and two-way radios in automobiles, as well as for portable wireless devices, including cordless phones and cell phones.

This is because UHF wavelengths are short enough that effective transmitting antennas are tiny enough to place on handheld and mobile devices.

Short whips, sleeve dipoles, rubber ducky antennas, or the planar inverted F antenna (PIFA) seen in cell phones are the most common omnidirectional UHF antennas used in mobile devices.Mobile base stations and cellular base station antennas can be constructed from collinear arrays of dipoles to achieve higher gain omnidirectional UHF antennas.

RECENT PARTNERSHIP

The brand-new SUPERPANEL Broadband UHF TV Antenna.

The new SUPERPANEL broadband UHF panel antenna from ERI and iTECH will be launched at the forthcoming NABSHOW in Las Vegas. The i230ECx is a side-mounted, compact, broadband UHF television antenna ideal for both primary and secondary applications.

The antenna is set up in a wind-resistant, cylindrical radome that is exceptionally light in weight. A module with eight bays and two inputs makes up the default setup. The system can be set up with a dual feed system that will allow for various polarisation ratios, which can be set for the entire array or for each individual channel feeding the system. The antenna can be supplied with an integrated hybrid power divider and phasing loop for fixed horizontal, elliptical, or circular polarisation.

This broadband antenna is appropriate for systems with a single channel or for the simultaneous operation of many television stations in a single antenna. 20 kW of average power and 10 kW per input are the specifications for the 8-bay module. Standard system configurations are available for 8, 16, and 24 bays, with an array power handling capacity of up to 60 kW average power. The necessary feed harness and power divider are already included in the 16 and 24 bay configurations.
