    The POSCO Battery Pack for Electric Vehicle (PBP-EV) is a battery pack designed by POSCO to fit a third-generation electric vehicle skateboard made of Giga Steel, stainless steel, and wire rod. The roll-forming process used to create ultra-high strength steel has improved collision safety performance.


    In order to shield the vehicle from external shock, heat, vibration, and other hazards, the battery pack’s stainless steel is applied to the module’s outside frame construction.


    This module has a set number of battery cells that are grouped together. Due to its strength and corrosion resistance, stainless steel offers the benefit of preventing battery cell swelling while charging and discharging. It also has the advantage of avoiding rusting even in the presence of moisture inside the battery pack.
