How Can Tractors Help Cameroon in becoming a Middle Income Country?

• Cameroon is a lower-middle-income country with a population of over 27.2 million.
• Agriculture is the mainstay of Cameroon’s economy. Agriculture contributed to around 16% of the total Gross Domestic Product. 70% of the Labor force is occupied in Agriculture.

• The major crops are cassava, plantains, maize, oil palm fruit, taro, sugar cane, sorghum, tomatoes, bananas, vegetables. 
• Despite this enormous potential, agriculture in Cameroon faces a plethora of challenges, thus compromising the country’s capacity to sufficiently nourish its expanding food needs.
•  Low cost, Used tractors can increase the capacity of processing, storage and packaging. All this will lead to improved agricultural production.

The Rise Of Food Grain Shortage Post Russia-Ukraine war

The Russia-Ukraine war has triggered a global food crisis that could last for several years, according to the United Nations. The biggest impact can be seen on supply of fertilizer, wheat, energy and other commodities. 

As a result, the world now needs other countries to step up their agri exports and fill the gap in order to maintain the balance. Cameroon can capitalize on this for several years.
