    This makes it possible to complete hot section maintenance and borescope inspections much more quickly. Since no cranking is necessary, it will also stop the air starter motor from wearing down. According to FCS Finland, with the AFC-22, for instance, it only requires 45 minutes to attain the required 450C temperature for the hot section maintenance, whereas typical cooling time is in the range of 4-5 hours.
