Fully Recyclable Paper Tube Packaging Solution For Premium Drinks Brand Clydeside. The market for luxury spirits isn't the only one where there is a rising need for packaging that is environmentally friendly and entirely recyclable. Smurfit Kappa is constantly working to suit the changing needs of its consumers, and its new 100% recyclable beverage packaging option, the Smurfit Kappa Eco-Tube, is a prime example. We recently created this ground-breaking innovation, which offers a more environmentally friendly alternative to regular paper tubes and makes them completely recyclable under standard consumer recycling programs.
With the Eco-Tube, luxury spirit packaging can now be completely recyclable, allowing businesses to prioritise both quality and sustainability. It is commonly acknowledged that paper tube packaging has various advantages, including on-shelf disruption, especially in the beverage industry. Now, recyclable packaging may be used to do all of this. Recently, the Smurfit Kappa Composites team finished a project for The Clydeside Distillery.
It was the first fully branded, 100% recyclable beverages packaging solution we have ever introduced for the whisky market. The Clydeside Distillery was Glasgow's first exclusively constructed Single Malt Whisky distillery in well over a century. Smurfit Kappa welcomed the chance to work with The Clydeside Distillery because they have previously collaborated extensively with their sister firm, A Dewar Rattray, on numerous packaging projects.
The distillery required the ideal premium drinks packaging solution as they prepared to release their first single malt whisky, Stobcross. Stobcross, The Clydeside Distillery's first Single Malt, required packaging that was of the highest calibre, was opulent, and highlighted its distinctiveness. The Eco-Tube was the ideal choice for The Clydeside Distillery because they also wanted to make sure their packaging was environmentally friendly. The Clydeside team initially approached us in search of the conventional qualities of tube packaging, such as robustness and shelf presence. They were quite happy to have the option of having all of the stuff in a fully recyclable form.
The first branded Eco-Tube that was put on the market was the packaging for Stobcross. The completed product is a chic tube that stands out on shelves and in stores while safely protecting the product. The Clydeside Distillery chose a design that accurately expresses their brand and product by honouring Glasgow's maritime heritage. The Clydeside Distillery now sells Stobcross in their store and online, and in the upcoming months, the business plans to expand to other countries.
