A missile called an anti-radiation missile (ARM) is made to locate and engage an enemy radio emission source. They are often intended to be employed against an enemy radar, though jammers and even communications radios can also be targeted in this way.
An air-to-surface tactical missile called a high-speed anti-radiation missile is intended to locate and eliminate an adversary's radar-equipped air defence systems.
A missile is an intelligent, autonomous rocket that is intended to deliver its payload to a specific location with the intention of killing the target or object. The missile's target, trajectory, warhead, range, velocity, and launch platform are all taken into consideration during design.
A missile is a guided, airborne, long-range weapon that can fly on its own, typically propelled by a jet engine or rocket motor. Hence, guided missiles or guided rockets are other names for missiles (when a previously unguided rocket is guided).
The five systems that make up a missile are the targeting, guidance, flight, engine, and warhead systems. Surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missiles (ballistic, cruise, anti-ship, anti-submarine, anti-tank, etc.), surface-to-air missiles (and anti-ballistic), air-to-air missiles, and anti-satellite weapons are some of the different types of missiles available.
Usually shot by an artillery piece or dropped by an aircraft, airborne explosive weapons without propulsion are referred to as shells and as bombs, respectively. Rocket artillery is the typical term used to describe unguided jet- or rocket-propelled weapons.
The Global Anti-radiation missile market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
DRDO to launch next gen anti-radiation missile. The new next-generation anti-radiation missile is being prepared for launch by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
It is a tactical, air-launched missile that locates and destroys enemy radar sites after detecting their whereabouts. This means that the missile will locate the target, home in on it, and then destroy it when fired from an aeroplane around 100 kilometres away.
By taking out opposing radar equipment, the Indian Air Force will have an easier time attacking other targets because the opponent will be rendered blind. IAF fighters like the Sukhoi-30 and the Mirage-2000 can fire the NGARM. It is precise and can follow a radar system regardless of whether it's in use.
