A vibrant and diversified robotics community exists in Australia. The Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group at CSIRO is a global pioneer in cutting-edge investigation and creation of practical robotics and autonomous systems.
In its mission to create a strong and top-notch robotics ecosystem, the Robotics Australia Network links members with stakeholders in the public and private sectors as well as researchers, investors, and more.
The ARM (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) Hub is a flexible technology hub in robotics, artificial intelligence, and design-led manufacturing that quickens business’s transition to the digital age.
The Australia Robotics Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
A new robotics plan was launched by the Australian Army. The Robotic and Autonomous Systems Implementation & Coordination Office (RICO) of the Australian Army released the strategy earlier this month, stating that its goal is to “provide the army an operational advantage” on the battlefield.
The army will continue to train and battle differently as a result of the greater usage of RAS capabilities since it will be easier to make decisions quickly and with less risk.
The army will continue to train and battle differently as a result of the greater usage of RAS capabilities since it will be easier to make decisions quickly and with less risk.Through “high-speed information analysis and distribution,” according to the policy, RAS capacity will improve the army’s situational awareness, survivability, and lethality.
According to the report, the army will use these technologies in five areas: maximising soldier performance; improving decision-making; utilising human-machine teaming; protecting troops; and improving logistics and maintenance processes.
However, the plan emphasises that the success of its execution depends on a number of elements, including tried-and-true technology, inventiveness and industrial capability, global alliances, and ethical considerations.
In highlighting potential future capabilities, the strategy said that the creation of technologies like a “modular autonomous platform,” which might be used for tasks like load carrying, close-fire support, or target acquisition, may enhance military performance.
