Battery manufacturer Krisel Electric has started construction on a new factory in Rain Bach, Austria, which it calls 3K One. When the 67,000-square-foot plant comes online, it will have the capacity to produce 800,000 kWh worth of batteries per year.

The AVL List Battery Innovation Center (BIC) in Graz is now operational. The emphasis is on creating, developing, and validating new effective production methods in addition to the functional development of new high-voltage batteries for electric cars.
