Global Automotive Climate Control System Sensors Market 2023-2030

Last Updated:  Apr 25, 2025 | Study Period: 2023-2030

GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM SENSORS MARKET

INTRODUCTION

By definition, automotive climate control refers to the vehicle's built-in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. This is also known by the manufacturer's names for intelligent air conditioning.

In order to increase cabin comfort and the effectiveness of the vehicle's temperature management system, Thermometrics Active In Car Temperature Sensor (AIT) indicates in-cabin temperature monitoring for automobiles that have an automated temperature control system.

One of the most crucial jobs of temperature sensors in air conditioning systems is regulating the evaporator's temperature. The outside temperature sensor is typically found near the bottom of the automobile, under the front of the hood. Despite the sensor's accuracy, it picks up heat from the road's surface due to its placement.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

Cadillac has chosen Gentherm (NASDAQ: THRM), the market leader in breakthrough thermal management and pneumatic comfort solutions for the automotive industry, to provide ClimateSense®. The Gentherm ClimateSense four-zone microclimate system will come standard on the CELESTIA, the first vehicle to go on sale.

The system has 33 different microclimate devices that each occupant can customise to their preferred temperature while combining with cutting-edge airflow technologies to provide genuinely personalised comfort.

A neck scarf, heated armrests, as well as heated, cooled, and vented seats will be available for all four seating positions as well as the steering wheel.

The system's sophisticated sensors enable quick and effective heating and cooling, enabling occupants to achieve comfort several minutes earlier than with competing systems while preserving electrical energy and extending driving range.

They are honoured that their ClimateSense system, which offers cutting-edge cabin climate technologies, electronics, and software algorithms that help deliver opulent, effective, and personalised comfort for every occupant, will be installed in the Cadillac CELESTIA, the industry's first vehicle to do so.

The latest Gen 5 Magnum and Super Magnum Climate-Control Systems from Vintage Air have been launched. These new systems, which are the newest offerings in the Builders Series range, include block-type expansion valves and mix air doors in OEM-quality injection-moulded cases, a first in the industry. All aspects of the new Vintage Air Gen 5 Climate-Control Systems are controlled by electronics.

Injection-moulded case assemblies, new, higher-torque actuator motors, and rubber over-molded mix air doors for improved durability and effectiveness are just a few of the new OEM-quality features they now provide. The largest blower ever made by Vintage Air is found in the new Super Magnum Evaporator.

For greater cooling capacity, it produces 20% more cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) than the conventional Magnum's blower. To free up crucial under-hood space, the complete system replaces outmoded air-conditioning components and offers higher performance in a smaller size.

The unique totally electronic microprocessor control mechanism used by Vintage Air's Gen 5 system does not require any cables or hoover connections.

Infinite "just right temperature" air blends, blower speed changes, and high-volume dehumidified defrost are all made possible by the separate high-capacity parallel-flow heater coil and aluminium plate-and-fin cooling coil. These coils also offer excellent performance.

For greater installation flexibility, additional features include numerous mounting points and air outlet combinations. The Magnum and Super Magnum kits work with all Gen IV regular and upgrade billet control panels that are already in place.

DENSO, a leading global auto supplier, launched a brand-new climate control system for automobiles that can be installed in a wide range of vehicles, from compacts to luxury cars.

Unlike this device, which has a novel construction that made it possible to standardise components while achieving the requisite performance, conventional temperature control units are frequently created and customised to each vehicle model.

This is the first of its type, highly standardised automobile climate control device that is lighter and smaller while achieving superior performance.

With the use of cutting-edge forming technologies, the air mix door's thickness is halved compared to DENSO's standard doors, resulting in a decrease in the depth and weight of the appliance

.The new unit has standardised doors and only needs one servo motor to operate the air mix door as opposed to the conventional unit's many servo motors, which allows for a smaller unit case.

These new technologies allow for the adoption of a more efficient, smaller, lighter temperature control unit in eco-friendly vehicles.

For example, a cold storage evaporator can be used in place of the unit's evaporator in stop/start systems, and a heat pump air conditioning system can be used in place of the heater core in hybrid and electric automobiles.

Additionally, the blower fan could be modified to have a two-layer construction so that it could draw in outside air and circulate inside air at the same time, allowing the air conditioning system to be employed in vehicles with fewer heat sources.
