When compared to GF-SMC, the ZnO12.4%-NFRBC exhibited similar mechanical qualities, but it used 9% less energy to produce and had a 33% lower environmental impact according to life-cycle assessment (LCA).

     

    ZnO12.4%-NFRBC’s water resistance was much enhanced, however more alterations are required to completely fulfil the standards for GF-SMC replacement.
