A distribution amplifier, also known as a distribution amp or DA, is a device in electronics that takes a single input signal and sends it to multiple isolated outputs. Without the need for ground loops or signal degradation, these devices enable the simultaneous distribution of a signal to multiple locations.
Multiple amplification, cable television, splitting monitor and front of house mixes, and “tapping” a signal prior to sending it through effects units to preserve a “dry” signal for later experimentation are all common engineering applications.
A Distribution Amplifier for AV, also known as: a media feed; a pool supply; a feed of media; box for press or an ADA, which outputs multiple line or microphone outputs from a single AV feed, typically a microphone input.
This can be accomplished with either an active feed, in which the outputs are amplified, or a passive feed, in which the signal is split among the outputs. The AV Distribution Amplifier is primarily used to share a single AV feed with multiple press pool members. Press feed, pool feed, and media feed are all derived from this.
The Global AV Distribution Amplifiers Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
Extron AV Distribution Amplifier – The Extron Audio/Video Distribution Amplifier, also referred to as an AV Splitter, distributes composite video, S-video, component video, and/or stereo audio. Some Extron DAs are a combination of more than one DA in a single enclosure.
For example, the Extron DA 12V/6V Dual EQ contains two one input, six output composite video DAs. Only one internal power supply is used to power both DAs. With two DAs built into one rack-mountable enclosure, the dual DAs also offer space savings, heat reduction, and competitive pricing.
The Extron DA 6A is a high performance distribution amplifier for distributing stereo audio. It includes one input and six outputs on captive screw connectors for balanced/unbalanced stereo audio.
Housed in a durable and compact half-rack metal enclosure, the DA 6A is designed for easy integration into both new and existing AV systems including boardrooms, training facilities, home theatre, command and control center, and rental and staging environments
