"Audio-Visual over Internet Protocol" is what AV over IP stands for. In essence, it involves sending audio-visual data via a network like the internet, LAN, or WAN. AV over IP, commonly referred to as AV/IP or AVoIP, is the use of common network hardware to transmit and switch video and audio, in contrast to traditional AV systems.
It includes everything from sophisticated video distribution infrastructures in production and broadcast facilities to internet-based live or on-demand video streaming.
AV over IP refers to the increasing replacement of existing AV infrastructures with IP-based infrastructures. As opposed to traditional analogue AV systems, AV over IP refers to the switching and transmission of video and audio signals using standard network hardware.
Global AV-over-IP system market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
In order to enable OEMs and end users to offer networked video over common Gigabit networks, Audinate is introducing a new family of products under the name of its AV-over-IP video solution, Dante AV. This new family of solutions includes a rebranding of Dante AV to Dante AV Ultra.
The new family, according to Audinate, also consists of Dante AV-H, a brand-new software programe created to enable original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to integrate Dante control into currently available H.26x-based IP video product designs.
All new products built upon the original Dante AV module will henceforth have the Dante AV Ultra label. Additionally, later this year, current Dante AV products will be rebranded as Dante AV Ultra. Applications that require the least latency and perfectly synchronised audio and video, like picture magnification and broadcast contribution, can use the solution.
