Calcium Soap Grease-Mineral oil, fatty acids, calcium hydroxide (hydrated lime), and water are combined and boiled to achieve saponification in the normal manufacturing process of calcium soap grease. After the water content has been adjusted, the operation is finished.
Tallow-based grease contains a small quantity of water as a structural stabiliser; however, when heated over 80°C, the water is lost, causing the grease’s structure to break down and the separation of the oil from the thickener.
