OKI Electric Cable Launches “Clean Eye Camera Link Cable”. Oki electric (TSE5815) has just introduced the “Clean Eye Camera Link Cable.”
Combining the company’s cutting-edge low skew(*1) cable with its newly created, distinctive, and low power consumption equalizing technology(*2) (patent pending), it is possible to transmit data at a distance of up to 20 meters (m), which is twice the limit of the Camera Link interface standard.
Compared to a conventional repeater, this reduces power consumption by half. By positioning the repeater unit on the frame grabber(*6) side rather than in the middle of the two cables, the new product, “Clean Eye Camera Link Cable,” simplifies wiring using just one 20-meter cable.
The repeater can be put anywhere else as well. The repeater unit’s power consumption is 0.5W(TYP), which is half of what it would be for regular repeater units thanks to the company’s innovative equalizing technology.
