The strategy also intends to expand domestic industrial usage of locally produced cotton to 50% by 2030. The cotton is anticipated to supply around 50% of Cameroon’s need for clothes and will be utilised to make garments, notably sportswear.
According to Cameroonian media sources, the military, police, and other government agencies will get clothing made with at least 60% local cotton.
