Chemical warfare (CW) refers to the use of poisonous chemical compounds as weapons. This kind of warfare is different from nuclear, biological, and radiological warfare, which are collectively referred to as CBRN, the acronym for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (warfare or weapons).
