A board-mounted controller is a feature of Chip-On-Board (COB) OLED Display Modules. These display modules come in both character and graphic formats. The controller IC or driver is directly put on the back of COB (Chip-On-Board) LCD modules, which are passive-matrix displays made using a PCB.
The PCB is attached to the LCD glass. The display may be quickly and easily assembled to fit any design application due to the COB mounting technology. Character and graphic LCD display types in a wide range of sizes and colours are both included in these COB LCD modules.
The Global Chip On Board Graphic OLEDs market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
Chip-on-Board (COB) OLED Display Modules from Vishay / Dale
The controller for Vishay Chip-on-Board (COB) OLED Display Modules is installed on the board. These display modules come in both character and graphic formats. Polarised and sunlight viewable OLED display modules are available.
The Character COB OLED Display Modules are mostly used to show text or small icons and are constructed from arrays of pixel grids.
The Graphic COB OLED Display Modules consist of a single, sizable pixel grid. Although they can show text, they excel at doing so with images.
