Noise filters are not new, and they are frequently employed in transmitting. Through the use of coax shielding, they are employed to stop harmful radiation. They can also reduce undesired radiation when picking up signals, especially when an active antenna is utilised, but this capability is less well known.
However, in this instance, the situation is reversed: undesired interferences from electric home appliances can be successfully eliminated on the way to the antenna.
Common mode filters have the function of selectively removing common mode noise while allowing differential mode signals to pass.
Widely used in high-speed digital interfaces like USB, IEEE 1394, HDMI, and DisplayPort are these noise suppression components.Common mode noise is noise in which a noise current that has leaked via a stray capacitance or the like passes through ground and returns to the power supply line.
Global common mode noise filter market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
For optimal common mode noise rejection of >30dB broad band in the frequency range of 500kHz – 50MHz, Bonito’s Coaxial Common Mode Choke (CCMC50) has been carefully tuned.
A far greater frequency range is covered with very minor restrictions. This is made possible by combining a high-quality PTFE coaxial cable with a cascaded system of ferrite cores with different frequency-dependent material qualities.
The galvanic isolator GI1000 and the CCMC50 are similar in terms of effective noise suppression. The CCMC50, on the other hand, is capable of handling even the lowest frequencies and DC voltages, as opposed to the GI1000, which is unable to handle any of these signals.
Thus, the coax cable that supplies the active antenna with power or sends control signals can be directly attached to the CCMC50. Even greater performance might be obtained by connecting the GI1000 directly to the receiver in series with the CCMC50 immediately after the power inserter.
