The facility manufactures a variety of flexographically printed packaging, such as American cases, die-cut boxes, and multipoint glued boxes. Polish competition clearance and other customary requirements must be met before the transaction can go through.
Mondi plans to buy Simet, transform it into a high-efficiency box facility, and transfer its corrugated board and specialty packaging manufacturing know-how to the Grabonóg plant. Six box factories will exist for Mondi in Poland after this transaction.
Box factories are currently running throughout Central and Emerging Europe under Mondi’s Corrugated Packaging business segment, which is a part of the Fiber Packaging business unit.
