The majority of Congolese rely primarily on agriculture as their main source of income, which is at the heart of the country's economy. Congo has 34 million hectares of arable land, of which 6.5 million hectares are used for perennial crops and 30.3 million hectares are used for meadows and pastures.
In general, tractors are connected with farming because farmers use them in conjunction with other equipment to conduct tasks like ploughing, tilling, planting, and harrowing. Additionally, a tractor is utilised to pull or push the equipment, which streamlines farming processes.
The Congo Farm tractor Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
Through its local partner Moise Kapend Tshombe, AFTRADE DMCC has reinforced its commitment to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, an important African economy, and has sent tractors and agricultural equipment to this country.
Two tractors, the Belarus 820 and Belarus 512, as well as a precision seed drill STV-8KU and a 4-row mounted potato planter L-207 have all been provided by AFTRADE. These have gotten to the DRC and are being applied to agricultural land.
This dedication to the DRC is a significant victory for AFTRADE DMCC. Tshombe and AFTRADE executives were visiting Lubumbashi in March 2021 to finalise the business agreement when they were forcibly detained by the Congolese authorities on the basis of erroneous local intelligence.
This happened just nine months prior, in March 2021. Tshombe and the visiting AFTRADE team were released without being charged when the DRC authorities verified that they were in fact genuine executives on an authorised business visit.
By executing their business contract and providing tractors to the DRC, AFTRADE DMCC has fully earned their justification and demonstrated their business prowess in yet another African market.
