Toradex’s iMX8 SoM series, Apalis, now offers MIPI CSI-2 camera module support from e-con Systems. The flagship 4K camera module from e-con, e-CAM137A CUMI1335 MOD, is one of the camera modules.
Customers of Toradex Apalis i.MX8 are able to address a number of applications thanks to e-con Systems’ introduction of a selection of camera modules with varying features and image sensors.
The e-CAM137A CUMI1335 MOD by e-con Systems is based on the 1/3.2 inch high resolution AR1335 sensor from ON Semiconductor, which has pixels that measure 4208H x 3120V. The M12 holder on the camera module enables the consumer to switch out different lenses.
For Toradex’s iMX8 SoMs, e-con Systems will also soon introduce the e-CAM130 MI1335 MOD, a 4K Autofocus camera module, and the e-CAM56 CUMI0521 MOD, a 5MP MIPI CSI-2 Monochrome module.
Additionally, more cameras for the Verdin family of SoMs will soon be released. The camera drivers have been integrated into Toradex’s Torizon, an open-source software platform running Linux OS, by e-con Systems.
