A power MOSFET with a double diffusion process is known as a double-diffused MOSFET (DMOS). This process creates the source and channel regions. used for switching tasks requiring both high voltage and high frequency.
The transistors in a transistor array are arranged on a single substrate in groups of two or more. The transistors can be used singly like discrete transistors, in contrast to more densely integrated circuits. In order to carry out a specific function, the transistors in the array are not interconnected.
Bipolar junction transistors and field-effect transistors are both possible components of transistor arrays.
The Global DMOS FET Transistor Array market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2022 to 2030.
Toshiba Launches DMOS FET Transistor Arrays with Industry's First 1.5A Sink-Output Driver. The Semiconductor & Storage Products Company of Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO:6502) today announced the introduction of two new series of extremely efficient transistor arrays, the TBD62064A series and TBD62308A series, using a DMOS FET type sink-output driver.
The TD62064A and TD62308A series of bipolar transistor arrays were replaced by the new series, which are the first DMOS FET transistor arrays in the market with a 1.5A sink-output driver. These series were widely used in applications such as motor, relay, and LED drives.
Products from the TBD62064A family will begin mass manufacturing. The TBD62308A series' sample shipments have begun, and mass production is planned.
The new devices can drive constant voltage unipolar stepping motors thanks to their 4 channels of 50V/1.5A rated output.
To ensure the high efficiency customers need to avoid power loss, Toshiba adopted DMOS FET output drivers for its new products. DMOS FET do not require a base current and can take large current densities per device area, keeping on-resistance low.
