With the commissioning of EPSL (Essel Propack Suzhou Ltd) in Suzhou (East China) for the non-oral care category, the company opened its fifth facility in China. The factory is conveniently situated in the centre of all major domestic and international cosmetic companies. The new facility’s main focus would be on cosmetic and beauty products such as shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, BB cream, facial cleanser, and facial cleansers.
This is the initial phase of investment in EPSL, which has a 160 million tube annual supply capacity that will later be more than quadrupled to 380 million tube annual supply capacity. EPSL plans to increase its current market share of 3.2 percent to 5.1 percent in the non-oral care tube market in China by 2015–16.
