At Brisbane Airport (YBBN) in Australia, Air bp has unveiled an all-electric refuelling truck for users of the jet-A1 aircraft. The refueler is an all-electric hazardous goods vehicle and refueler that has been authorised for operation in Australia. It uses lithium-ion batteries and digital charging systems.

 

It has a fuel capacity of roughly 16,000 litres (4,227 gallons) and can run for a whole day after being charged overnight. Compared to diesel-powered vehicles, AirBP claims that the electric refueler will cost less to operate and maintain.

 

The vehicle was produced in collaboration with Refuel International, a manufacturer and supplier of specialist refuelling vehicles, equipment, and support services to the aviation sector, and SEA Electric, a developer of electronic power systems.
