There is diurnal and seasonal variations in PV generation. In order to feed excess PV power to the EV charging system and to draw power to meet the demand for EV charging, there must be an AC grid connection.
Therefore, an EV, PV, and AC grid, as well as a three-port power converter (TPC) to connect them, are needed for a solar-powered EV charging system, as shown in Fig. 2.
A single bidirectional TPC has numerous advantages over separate (on-board or off-board) unidirectional EV chargers and PV inverters that exchange power on the AC grid. There is diurnal and seasonal variations in PV generation.

Global electric vehicle TPC air duct market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2023 to 2030.
The air duct, which was blow-molded using DuPontTM Hytrel TPC/ET thermoplastic polyester elastomer, is rigid yet elastic and performs its function exceptionally well despite employing very little material and the high pressures and flow rates present in such a high-performance gasoline engine.
One of the first mono-material solutions of its kind in Germany, the inventive air duct, used on the "cold" side of the engine, is made up of two DupontTM Hytrel® TPC/ET sections, each measuring 300 mm and 400 mm.
Despite the demanding nature of this development, we were able to combine high functionality with great cost-efficiency thanks to DuPont's cooperation.
