ELECTROSTATIC REMOVER MARKET

INTRODUCTION

Photoionization is a clean method that uses light to directly ionize atoms and molecules in the air or in a vacuum to neutralize electrostatic charges. Even in environments or objects where conventional methods have made it difficult to remove electrostatic charges, this method is efficient and effective.

Photoionizers quickly remove static charges from a large area by ionizing gas molecules in the air with soft x-rays. Electrostatic charge removal devices known as VUV ionizers make use of "photoionization" to apply vacuum UV light to break up static electricity.

Unwanted electrostatic charges can be eliminated in a vacuum (depressurized state) using this novel ionization technique, which has never been possible before.

It does this by making use of the distinctive properties of vacuum ultraviolet light. Any electrons stuck to your body will flow through the metal and away if you touch a metal object, such as a coin, key, or paper clip, to something metal in your home. This will prevent the shock-causing "jumping" effect.

The human body feels a shock when the voltage is higher than around 3,500 volts. 35,000 volts can be produced by walking on carpet. The Electrostatic Release (ESD) from this voltage can cause torment. Although not life-threatening, the discharge still hurts.

ELECTROSTATIC REMOVER MARKETNEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

At ICE Europe, Fraser introduces the first-of-its-kind automatic range control static elimination bar for OEMs. At the ICE Europe tradeshow in Munich next month, leading specialists in static electricity control Fraser Anti-Static Techniques will introduce its innovative new static eliminator with PLC-controlled ionization output.

A long-range static eliminator made specifically for OEMs is the NEOS 30 OEM. The new feature, which is ideal for winding machinery or converting applications, enables the static eliminator's optimal range to be continuously altered as its distance from the web changes.

A straightforward interface with the customer's existing PLC allows for direct control of the bar's output frequency without the need for additional sensors.

The NEOS 30 OEM is available in lengths ranging from 600 mm to 5,000 mm and is designed to neutralize charges at distances between 200 mm and 1,500 mm. Bruce Clothier, CEO of Fraser Anti-Static Techniques, is of the opinion that: Applications like re-winders, where the distance between the static eliminator and the electrostatically charged material changes constantly, are ideal candidates for the NEOS 30 OEM.

When it comes to improving the quality of their output, machinery manufacturers and even end users will have more options.
