An enzyme biosensor is a tool that uses enzymes as biological recognition components to find a target analyte in a sample, either at low or high concentrations.
Proteins known as enzymes are able to recognize and bind to a limited number of molecules, or substrates, and then catalyze chemical processes to change those substrates into products.
The enzyme is immobilized on a transducer surface in an enzyme biosensor, which transforms the biochemical signal generated by the enzyme-substrate reaction into a quantifiable signal, such as an electrical or optical signal.
The concentration of the target analyte in the sample is then determined from the transducer signal after it has been processed and amplified.
Due to their great selectivity, sensitivity, and specificity, enzyme biosensors have numerous uses in a variety of industries, including medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, food safety, and drug development.
They are highly accurate and quick at detecting a variety of analytes, including glucose, cholesterol, lactate, alcohol, pesticides, and poisons.
The Global Enzyme Biosensor Market accounted for $XX Billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
For the agricultural market, Sun Chemical provides stabilized enzymes and biosensor systems, Sun Chemical has created a variety of biosensors to detect acrylamide precursors in the agricultural market in response to the requirement to lower the levels of acrylamide in products made from potatoes.
The SunSens biosensors from Sun Chemical, monitor precursor levels in potatoes while they are in storage or before the crop is utilized to make a final product and measure glucose, sucrose, and fructose.
The Sun Chemical potentiostat, together with the associated Android software, is required for the biosensors to function. The tablet comes pre-loaded with Android software.
Features consist of Bluetooth connectivity between the tablet and the potentiostat provides step-by-step on-screen instructions, making the gadget portable and simple to use.
Test results are stored on the tablet together with a date stamp and customized sample labels (which are readily transferred to a PC).
Savings in time because self-sensor calibration is completed with QR-code scanning using the tablet's front camera. A progress bar displaying the measurement's general state. A programmable software that displays data in the user's preferred units
