INTRODUCTION

The pouch cell is a type of prismatic battery that does not have a hard metal container and instead has a layer of aluminium plastic film on the outside of its liquid or semi-solid lithium-ion body.

 

Therefore, it can be lighter and more easily shaped into varied sizes and shapes than regular square batteries. This is in stark contrast to prismatic cells, which have even fewer cells than pouch cells and only have a few hundred. Heat management is bad with cylindrical batteries.

 

The other two are excellent. The highest specific energy of them all is found in the pouch lithium ion battery. Among these, the prismatic lithium battery has the maximum energy density.
