Technyl® Blue materials are suitable for both injection molding and extrusion applications, depending on the specific needs of the parts in cooling circuits and air-conditioning systems1. For injection molding, the new Technyl® Blue D 218CR V50 grade provides total cost reduction versus specialty polymers such as polyphthalamide (PPA) and polyphenylene sulphide (PPS).

 

It also offers high mechanical strength, design flexibility, excellent surface aspect and easy processing for applications such as thermostat housings and water pumps1. For extrusion, the Technyl® Blue range offers an attractive cost/performance ratio compared to metals, such as aluminium, and alternative polymers including long-chain polyamides, notably PA12.
