    EMS/Magnetek 75KW Vector Motor Control Drive removed from an electric trolley application that was no longer in use. The motor input is nominal at 288 Vdc. (320 – 330V charged).

     

    The output has a reference frequency of 2 kHz and is 3 phase 240 volts. Based on the operator interface and the desired demand, it is an inverter with controlled speed and current.

     

    It is built on an inverter control made by Magnetek (now Yaskawa). Regenerative Feedback is used by the controller/inverter to produce battery charging power while decelerating.

     

    As can be seen in the images, the controller also has a 3-Phase inverter for the engine cooling blower. It has a 12Vdc aux. control that allows the operator to interact with the controller directly.
