    ATV & UTV ENGINE MARKET

    KEY FINDINGS

    1. Generally  ATV engines have a preferred displacement of 50-700cc and UTVs with 500-1000cc by almost all engine manufacturers.
    2. For smoother, quieter engine operation and weight reduction, OEMs select Single overhead cam (SOHC) and Dual overhead cam (DOHC) for placements of camshaft in all terrain vehicles.
    3. To provide high pressure ratio at low engine speeds and to obtain high performance, customers are installing aftermarket/custom-made turbochargers, which are currently in high demand for ATVs and UTVs.
    4. The two-stroke engine hasn’t been manufactured for ATVs for a number of years by the major manufacturers. Modern ATVs and Side-by-Sides come with four-stroke engines.
