The Digital Stroke Counter, which is connected to the processor, keeps track of the powerhead's stroke hard-stop position. The device also features an HMI and a digital readout of the stroke setting.
Manufacturers can programe the PLC to provide guiding parameters for the necessary stroke to correctly produce the rivet on a particular part. Then, the apparatus checks that the stroke setting is within certain bounds and that the powerhead stop position is precise. The machine will malfunction and the part won't be created if the stroke setting is beyond of bounds.
