HIGH SIDE CURRENT MONITORS MARKET
INTRODUCTION
When using High-Side Current Sensing (HSCS), the sensing resistor is connected in between the power source and the load. The subsequent op amp circuits amplify the received voltage signal to provide a quantifiable output.
It eliminates ground disturbance, directly connects the load to the system ground, and detects the excessive load current brought on by unintentional shorts. Applications
Measurement equipment, overpower circuit breakers, power-level detectors, power-supply displays, short-circuit protection, baseband analogue multipliers, VGA Circuits, Smart Peripheral Control, and Smart Battery Packs/Chargers
HIGH SIDE CURRENT MONITORS MARKET SIZE AND FORECAST
The global high side current monitors market accounted for $XX Billion in 2021 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
HIGH SIDE CURRENT MONITORS MARKET NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH
The MAX4210/MAX4211 low-cost, low-power, high-side power/current monitors multiply the load current and source voltage to provide an analogue output voltage proportionate to the power consumed by a load. Because they don’t interfere with the load’s ground path, the MAX4210/MAX4211 are particularly helpful in battery-powered systems for measuring load current because they use a high-side current-sense amplifier.
The MAX4210 is a compact, straightforward 6-pin power monitor designed for applications with limited board space. To cut down on the number of components, the MAX4210A/B/C integrate an internal 25:1 resistor-divider network. For increased design freedom, the MAX4210D/E/F use an external resistor-divider network.
A complete current and power monitor is the MAX4211. In order to create detector circuits for overpower, overcurrent, and/or overvoltage circumstances, the device incorporates a high-side current-sense amplifier, a 1.21V bandgap reference, and two comparators with open-drain outputs. The open-drain outputs are useful for driving high-side switches in circuit breaker applications since they can be linked to potentials as high as 28V.
Three alternative current-sense amplifier gain options are offered by the MAX4210/MAX4211: 16.67V/V, 25.00V/V, and 40.96V/V. The MAX4211 is offered in 4mm x 4mm, 16-pin thin QFN, and 16-pin TSSOP packages, whereas the MAX4210 is offered in 3mm x 3mm, 6-pin TDFN, and 8-pin MAX® packaging. Both components are designed for the extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
