On Monday, LG Electronics revealed the initial product of its partnership with Amwell. The Carepoint TV Kit 200L, a product that will soon be marketed to hospitals and used to enable physicians to virtually connect to patients’ rooms, is currently in beta testing.
According to LG’s general manager for digital health, the solution, which is powered by Amwell’s Converge platform, is intended to make it easier for physicians to interact with patients amid the crisis of a skilled workforce in healthcare. Hospitals may now admit, monitor, and discharge patients remotely thanks to new software and hardware.
In a recent interview, it was stated that “clinicians can not just monitor, they can actually engage with the patient.
They can communicate with them, offer advice and treatment programs, etc.” A nurse will often be responsible for keeping an eye on up to 16 patients on a hospital wing. According to them, the TV kit enables nurses to watch their patients remotely and to administer the necessary intervention to individuals who require it rather than having to go from room to room.
