Analog Devices Inc. has released the ADM3051 High-Speed CAN Transceivers. The ADM3051 High-Speed CAN Transceivers are physical layer transceivers for the controller area network (CAN), which allow a protocol layer CAN controller to access the physical layer bus.

 

The ISO 11898 standard is supported by the ADM3051 CAN Transceivers, which can transmit data at up to 1Mbps.In 24V bus power systems, the devices provide current-limiting and thermal shutdown characteristics to guard against output short circuits and occurrences when the bus is shorted to ground or power terminals. 

 

Designers have three functioning modes to select from (high speed, slope control, and standby). The ADM3051 High-Speed Industrial CAN Transceivers have an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making them ideal for CAN data buses and industrial field networks.
