Freudenberg's existing pharma product portfolio of silicone tubing and components for bioprocessing, drug and vaccine manufacture, filling and sampling, peristaltic pumping, lab and medical device applications has been increased.
TPE tubing is perfect for pharmaceutical bioprocessing applications since it can be welded to existing tubing lines and heat-sealed to enable for convenient, quick, and safe fluid conveyance in biopharma processes.
Freudenberg TPE tubing also has a variety of sterilization methods, including autoclave, gamma irradiation, x-ray, and e-beam. TPE tubing is also a more environmentally friendly solution than silicone and can be recycled.
Silicone has historically been the gold standard for biopharma applications, but with silicone material in short supply in recent years, Freudenberg wanted to offer worldwide customers another single-use tubing option.
