The three new tyres, in their opinion, will strengthen their position in the OTR tyre market. Designed for articulated dumpers and wheel loaders, the 26.5-25 Loader Champ 28PR E4/L4 TL is a high-end, heavy-duty component.
It has a high-depth tyre with a specially designed tread pattern that, even in difficult mining operation conditions, offers exceptional traction, mileage, and cut resistance. They are designed to be utilised in "Non-Highway Services (NHS)" and other kinds of construction equipment. The tread compound of the tyres, which is based on silica, offers greater resistance to wear.
New 19.5" Off-Road Regional Tyres have been launched by Continental. Both the Continental HSR regional steer/all-position and HDR+ regional on/off-road drive tyres are offered in weight Range H and provide an additional 220 lbs of weight bearing capacity per tyre in single and dual applications.
This translates to an additional 880 pounds per load of carrying capability for dual drive pickup trucks, or "dually," like the Silverado 5500. For increased grip, the Continental HDR on/off-road drive tyre boasts an open shoulder tread design and an 18/32" depth of tread. In mud, dirt, and gravel, it provides an off-road advantage. In addition to 12% better performance, the new tread composition is tear-resistant.
A scuff rib offers protection from curbs, cuts, and abrasions like the HSR does. As a result of the strong lateral stability the aggressive tread pattern offers, squirm is reduced and handling is enhanced. In load ranges G and H, the HDR+ is offered in the 225/70R19.5 size.
For replacement tyres, Continental's HSR+ and HDR+ will be offered both through OE suppliers and through independent tyre retailers. The International CVTM Series and the GM Silverado 5500 and 6500 should have tyres that meet or exceed this Load Range H standards, drivers should be aware of this.
