An antenna is a specialised transducer that converts electric current into electromagnetic (EM) waves or vice versa. Antennas are used to transmit and receive nonionizing electromagnetic fields such as radio waves, microwaves, infrared radiation (IR), and visible light.
In radio engineering, an antenna or aerial is the interface between radio waves propagating through space and electric currents moving in metal conductors when used with a transmitter or receiver. One of the most important and least understood components of any radio communication platform is the antenna system.
The antenna system serves as a link between the radio system and the outside world. Antennas at the transmitter and receiver are required for wireless communication systems to function properly.
The Global InFO-Antenna market accounted for $XX Billion in 2023 and is anticipated to reach $XX Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of XX% from 2024 to 2030.
JAE Introduces a Compact and High-Performance Antenna Compatible with the 6th Generation Wireless LAN Wi-Fi 6E Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd (JAE) announced today the launch of the AN01ML27C00, a new variation of the compact and high-performance antenna AN01 series , which is compatible with the 6th generation wireless LAN “Wi-Fi 6E.
Wi-Fi is widely used for wireless data communication in homes, businesses, and public places, and it is expected to achieve faster speeds and larger capacities to meet increased traffic demand.
The 6th generation wireless LAN “Wi-Fi 6E” supports an additional 1.2 GHz from 5.925 to 7.125 GHz, and several countries around the world are considering making this new frequency band available to anyone without a licence.
As a result, Wi-Fi antennas must support a wide bandwidth of up to 2 GHz in addition to the traditional 2.4/5 GHz bands, be compact for easy installation, and have high performance to ensure coverage. With this in mind, JAE has introduced the tri-band antenna AN01ML27C00, which covers three frequency bands at the same time: 2.4 to 2.5 GHz, 5.15 to 5.85 GHz, and 5.925 to 7.125 GHz for Wi-Fi 6E, as a new variation of the compact and high-performance AN01 series.
The AN01ML27C00 antenna measures 13 x 10.15 x 2 mm, which is nearly the same as the current dual-band antenna AN01DL25C00.It also has a near-omnidirectional radiation pattern and a maximum radiation efficiency of up to 85% in the supported frequency ranges.
It, like other AN01 series antennas, supports automatic mounting and the reflow process, which helps to reduce antenna installation costs.
