PepsiCo has introduced 100% recycled plastic bottles for its Diet Pepsi product in Kuwait, as part of the soft drink company's efforts to expand sustainable packaging options throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

 

Diet Pepsi bottles are made from plastic that has been recycled and reprocessed before being repurposed. When compared to virgin fossil-fuel-based polyethylene terephthalate (PET), this is projected to make the process more environmentally friendly, as it reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30%.

 

Diet PepsiCo is a PepsiCo project. Pepsi is claimed to be accelerating efforts in Kuwait to promote a circular economy and reduce packaging waste.
